Supine Swiss Ball Breathing

A gentle, supported breathing practice performed lying on your back with a Swiss ball to encourage relaxation and body awareness.

Lie supine with your body comfortably supported and place your lower legs or feet on a Swiss ball. Allow the spine to settle into the floor and the body to fully release tension. Begin to breathe slowly and evenly through the nose, noticing the natural expansion of the ribs and abdomen with each inhale, and the soft release on each exhale.

The instability of the ball subtly engages proprioception while the supine position promotes deep relaxation, helping to calm the nervous system and enhance mindful awareness of the breath and body.
